DonateLife Week – Meet James

Diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease as a baby, James has been receiving care from The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) team since he was just six days old. By the time he was five, it became clear that he would need a kidney transplant. But despite numerous family members stepping forward to offer their kidneys, none were a match.

Supporting the next generation of Graduate Nurses

There are many reasons and motivations for becoming a nurse. At The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) we’re proud to provide dedicated pathways for newly graduated Registered Nurses to become competent and confident professionals.

Making care more accessible, not just at the RCH

Every child should have access to the care they need, care that is tailored to them.
But we know that many of the 5.5 million people living with disability (ABS, 2022) face significant barriers in accessing health care and often have poorer health outcomes compared to people without disability.

Measles alert

The Royal Children’s Hospital has been listed as an exposure site for a recently diagnosed case of measles.
